The 2010 Thoroughbreds split the opening weekend, but then rattled off 19 consecutive wins, nine by shutout and two over teams that went to NCAAs. In the first five games of that run, Skidmore scored five goals or more in each contest. A 3-0 win over Middlebury halted the scoring pace, but the defense notched three consecutive shutouts and started a run that saw the Thoroughbreds post eight shutouts over the 10 games. The 4-1 win over Hamilton in the Liberty League final sent Skidmore off to NCAAs with an 18-1 record and an aggregate score of 92-15 with nine shutouts. Seeded third, an overtime win over TCNJ followed by a 4-3 win over sixth-seed Eastern sent the Thoroughbreds to the semifinals. A loss to eventual champion Bowdoin ended the season. Christine Kemp, Claire Superak, Lauren McCarthy and Liz Catinella were all named All-Americans.
