NCAA Champions


The 1986 Seagulls opened with a pair of shutouts and went on to keep 12 other opponents off the scoreboard. They won their own four-game tournament by an aggregate score of 13-1. Salisbury closed with 10 consecutive wins, with five of those wins coming against teams in the NCAA tournament; the Seagulls won those five games by a combined score of 11-1, including a 4-0 victory over eventual runner-up Bloomsburg. Robin Adair, Stacy Stem, Judy Scofield and Cathy Treacy earned All-American honors as Salisbury won its first national championship.
