NCAA Runners-Up

The 2012 Red Hawks opened with a pair of wins before a loss on the road to Muhlenberg. From there, Montclair ran off 20 consecutive wins to advance to the NCAA final. An overtime win over Alvernia started the streak, and in the next 14 games the Red Hawks defeated three teams bound for NCAAs en route to a 17-1 regular season. A pair of wins at home moved Montclair into the NCAA tournament as the overall #2 seed, but they were on the road for the regional. The Red Hawks shut out Christopher Newport and Rochester to advance to the semifinals, where they defeated #3 Mary Washington and moved to the finals against unseeded Tufts. A 2-0 loss to the Jumbos ended the season, but Megan Bosland, Kate Norgard, and Jennifer Tafro earned All-American honors for the Red Hawks.
