NCAA Third Place
The 1995 Royals burst out of the gates, opening with a pair of shutouts and running out to a 7-0 start with four shutouts and an aggregate score of 41-3. A double-overtime win over Leb Val slowed them down, but the win streak stretched to 13 before a 2-1 loss to Goucher halted the run. Two victories to close out the regular season put EMU at 15-1 with an aggregate score of 68-9. The Royals swept through the ODAC tournament, not allowing a goal while scoring 19. Picked to host the regional tournament, EMU beat Wittenberg before beating Salisbury in double overtime to advance to the final weekend. A loss to eventual champion TCNJ was followed by a win over Wellesley to give the Royals third place. Candi Sauder, Krista Ebersole, and Kelly Jo Kern were all named All-Americans.
