The 2005 Ship team set a then-NCAA-era all-time best 4.70 scoring average that still ranks in the top-five to this date. The Raiders opened with a 16-game winning streak that saw Ship outscore its opponents 79-14 behind All-Americans Gina Coombs, Kendra Emery, Natalie Grazan, Ashley Watt, and Kristen Miller. A loss to Bloomsburg ended the streak, but the two faced off again in the PSAC title game. Bloom took a 3-0 lead, but Ship scored five of the six goals in the second half to take the title 5-4. The Huskies exacted revenge in the NCAA semifinals with a 1-0 victory, the first time the Raiders were held without a goal that season.
